The Foundation for the Advancement and Support of the Tennessee Walking Show Horse (FAST) has added Kyle Bush and Christy Lantis to its board of directors. Bush, who resides in Baxter, Tenn., works in his family’s business, Bush Construction Co., Inc., a natural gas utility contractor. Bush grew up around horses and has been showing since he was a youth.
“I love all aspects of the Tennessee Walking Horse breed, from pleasure to padded. I am honored to become one of the newest board members of FAST. I will work hard to help promote and preserve the Tennessee Walking Horse,” said Bush.
Lantis currently serves as the Assistant Assessor in Mecklenburg County in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lantis has a lifetime of involvement with Tennessee Walking Horse and has served on the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) board of directors and executive committee as the Vice President of Admin/Fiscal, Bylaws and Enforcement and Youth. She also was the Secretary/Treasurer of the West Coast Walking Horse Trainers’ Association and is now a member of the North Carolina Walking Horse Association.
Lantis now shares her home with her partner Tom Kakassy, who also has a lifetime of involvement with the Tennessee Walking Horse. “I look forward to being a part of the FAST board and collaborating on ideas to preserve and protect this great breed,” said Lantis.
